Wedding Cars Leicestershire.

Mid July was a hugely busy week for BRF Classic Cars and in particular me and my partner, as we tried the knot ourselves after over 8 years and 2 kids. But we chose the busiest week of our working year, as four days after our big day we were back to it. So bride and groom, Helen and David live down south but with family and friends all over the country picked the beautiful rural location in Leicestershire and Hothorpe Hall, Theddingworth as the base for their big day. The day was a bit overcast but dry, I arrived in plenty of time to allow the photographer time for photos. With plenty of time to spare we delivered bride Helen to the local Church in Theddingworth, Leicestershire. Now remember what I said about it being dry, well it lasted till 5 minutes before the bride and groom emerged from the church, then it bucketed down for all of 15 mins, then that was it. Poor old Doris our white Daimler limousine she always seems to get a soaking. The church and Hothorpe Hall are easy walking distance so we took the scenic route back to the venue, allowing Helen and David a few minutes together on a champagne drive back to Hothorpe Hall. A few photos and a few laughs before the happy couple re-joined there guests and we said our farewells and departed. Congratulations both for now and the future from all at BRF Classic Cars

Wedding Cars Corby Lovely Summer Wedding

I’m still playing catch up with my Blog but this wedding is worth a special mention. It was wedding number two of the weekend. I was driving the ever wonderful and beautiful Winnie our Wolseley 14/60 and Paula drove the elegant Daphne our fab Daimler DS420 Limousine to Corby Northamptonshire. Corby is only a very short hope skip and jump from our base to collect a bride who had no clue that her sister and mum had been in cahoots to organise surprise transport for her and her father to the church and then onwards to the reception. When we arrived a grinning Dad appeared and offered coffees, been rude not to accepted, but definitely a good start to the day. The day was warm and sunny and was getting warmer. Louise is without doubt the most nervous bride I have ever had the pleasure of escorting to her wedding, but she made it through with support from dad and her handsome groom Morey. Paula and I had some concerns over our route as Corby carnival ran right past the church, and the ceremony time clashed but lady luck was on our side and the carnival had moved through minutes before we arrived. And what a transformation when Louise got back in Winnie and I’m sure the glass of fizz had nothing to do with her calmness, nerves all gone we whisked the happy couple of to their reception. Congratulations to you both and all the best for the future, from us all at BRF Classic Cars Wedding Cars Corby Northamptonshire.

Wedding Cars Market Harborough Leicestershire Super Summer Wedding

Phew what a scorcher yesterday’s wedding in Market Harborough really was a hot one. The weather truly was roasting, I really felt for bride Jade corseted up and in a full length gown. Jade and now hubby Lewis have been planning their big day for about a year but until recently they had no idea Granddad had been a bit sneaky and booked two of our fleet for the day. Our current trend for early brides continued as we arrived a good ten minutes early but at least it gave the photographer a chance for more pics. As always at BRF Classic Cars weddings a skulk around in the background shooting our own take on the wedding festivities. So Jade with her granddad proudly taking her arm went to tie the knot with Lewis. Driver Mike was dispatched to get coffee, (the fuel of chauffeurs) and whilst we sipped espresso’s and latte’s a we chatted with lots of passers by and a friendly traffic warden about the cars. Now I know our wedding wasn’t running late but at one point we had three brides in a holding pattern waiting to get wed with stretch limos, camper vans and all manner of other wedding vehicles lapping the town. Soon Jade and Lewis emerged as husband and wife and we whisked them off to the local park for a photo session with their family and friends. The heat kept rising and I was concerned for the bridesmaids who had chosen to have a seat in Daphne our Daimler, who alas has no air con. So Mike popped them to the reception so at least they could cool down with ice cold pop. As is often the case it’s all to soon we say goodbye to our couples and it only leaves us to wish the happy couple all the best for the future and a riotous reception. Good luck both, and all the best from all of us at BRF Classic Cars. S

Wedding Cars Stamford and Burleigh House

We here at BRF Towers were very excited about our first Burleigh House Wedding. Mother of the Bride Sally Ann and I had been swapping emails for sometime finalising details and now the day was here. Bride Penni was to leave from The George of Stamford before travelling the relatively short distance to Burleigh House for the ceremony and the reception. The weather was cooler than we had been used to and some light drizzle spoilt our journey over to Stamford, but we arrived in good time and driver Phil and myself treated ourselves to a coffee in the lounge. All refreshed we squeezed the cars into a rather tight spot and awaited the bridal party. First Granddad and Grandma in our vintage Wolseley 14/60 and the groom and his groomsmen in the Daimler. Granddad was a fascinating character full of information about classic cars nattering to him and his lovely wife soon passed the time. Our first trip through the main gates and up the impressive driveway of Burleigh House was incredible and was it not for the preparations for the famous horse trails it could of been back in time in the 1940s.
Getting in was easy, getting out was confusing but back in time to collect the beautiful Penni. The short journey made with bridesmaids and mum in the Daimler and Penni and her Dad in the Wolseley. Passing the great house and sweeping into the intimate courtyard for the ceremony in the Orangery. Soon Bride and Groom emerged and the champagne cork popped and we whisked the happy couple off for a short drive to sit, chat and sip fizz. Back at the courtyard and they had locked us out but security soon had them back with there guests for their wedding breakfast. Congratulations Penni Harvey and Ryan Harvey and all the best for the future, it was a pleasure to play a small part in your big day.

Leicestershire Wedding Cars in the beautiful late summer sun shine

It was a beautiful day but very windy day that the lovely Laura and Barnaby wed in picturesque Great Glen on the outskirts of Leicester. The day started warm and just got warmer. I arrived at Laura’s home to a bevvy of beautiful brides maids waving at me from the window, a great start. Moustachioed photographer Johnny Dent popped out to say Hi and for a few shots of the car and then I was offered coffee, my day was getting better and better. First run to the church was for mother of the bride and the aforementioned bridesmaids. Parking at the church was, well tight but my first journey was done and I returned for the bride and her dad. On arriving back at the church a small gathering of friends and colleagues had appeared to wish Laura luck. Then Laura accompanied by dad took the short walk along the pathway to the meet her man at the alter. I spent and interesting few minutes talking to the church warden before shooting a few images of the parish church and then the bells. Johnny’s a speedy photographer and all the group shots where soon wrapped up and it was soon time to whisk Laura and Barnaby of to The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall, Theddingworth, for their reception, we took the scenic route so the happy couple had a little extra time to sip some fizz, natter and hold hands. We bid our farewells and left them to their reception. Congratulations both and all the best for the future from us all at BRF Classic Cars.

Towcester Wedding Cars for special days.

So another Saturday and another hot start to the day, the previous days wedding had been a dampish affair and left the cars looking a little less then lovely. Some elbow grease, spit and polish and a few short hours later and our new Wolseley 14/60 ‘Connie’ was ready to hit the road. Todays wedding was in Towcester Northamptonshire so 50 mins drive later and I’m pulling up outside the Brides home, to a very excited usher who I think it is safe to say was blown away with the car. Bride Samantha hadn’t had the best luck with her wedding planning but today all was going smoothly in fact yet another bride ready to leave ages before they needed. When we arrived at the all new Towcester registry office many of the guests hadn’t arrived so we went for a short spin to give guests time to arrive. The weather was playing ball and the sun put in the odd appearance. I took the opportunity to take my customary collection of candid relaxed images whist the official photographer worked his way through the formal photographs. Once all done Samantha and new hubby Kevin toasted their marriage with errrm blue WKD and a beer, not our normal toast drink but we were happy to oblige. It was a short journey to the Saracens Head in Towcester to drop bride and groom with their guests and I was about to depart when the aforementioned excited usher and son of the happy couple asked very politely if he could go for a spin in the car, well of course he could. Congratulations both here’s to you and yours for the future.

Daventry Wedding Cars at Dodford Manor Weedon Northamptonshire

We had a mid week wedding this week with the beautiful Sam marrying the equally beautiful Donna. A warm but windy start to the day saw me with an early ish start to the day and a relaxing drive to Daventry and the Daventry Court Hotel to collect bride number one, Sam plus her family. I think its fair to say Sam was rather nervous and it was showing a little. With more black clouds scudding through the blue sky we made our way to Dodford Manor, near Weedon, Northamptonshire. Dodford Manor is a popular wedding location with its restored barns and landscaped gardens a great all in one venue. So we dropped Sam and went back to Collect Donna, bride number two. Now Sam had been nervous in a quiet way well Donna seemed to handle her nerves by being overly chatty. Needless to say we arrived with plenty of time and waited for the two stunning brides to tie the knot. A few customary shots that we always do at BRF Classic Cars and we bid our brides farewell, and of course every happiness together. I hadn’t even got to the gate when it began to bucket it down fingers crossed it dried up for the formal photos, as I had left the girls trotting off for them.

We have special midweek offers for Daventry Wedding Cars and check out Dodford Manor Weedon Northamptonshire.

BRF Classic Wedding Cars Leicester – Providing Wedding Car Hire In Leicester

Chris and Tracey first saw our cars at a wedding fair at the Hilton Hotel Leicester 16months prior to their big day. Chris said “Saw them, loved them, had to have them” The couple chose Winnie our Wolseley and Daphne our spacious Daimler. I had new driver Wayne with me today so we left good and early to get our wedding cars Leicester. We arrived at the brides leaving location, her parents family home, which is only a short hop skip and jump from the church. Groom Chris though was leaving from his family home which is the other side of Leicester. So off I go to collect a slightly nervous groom, groomsmen and MoG. Back at the church and we’re first to arrive. Now off I go again to collect the bridal party. I have to say Tracey and her bridal party are one of the calmest we’ve had the pleasure of escorting on their big day. Tracey and her dad took the short walk to the church, still looking very calm. Ceremony over and we wait for the customary photos, the weather was holding nicely so Wayne and I talked cars and soaked up the rays, alas no coffee. Photos done, champagne open and glasses charged its time to take the B&G to their reception venue The Hilton Hotel Leicester. A few photos at the venue and I bid the happy couple farewell and home we go. Good luck to you Chris and Tracey we would like to wish every happiness for the future.

Market Harborough Wedding Cars Down Pour

By | market harborough wedding car | No Comments

Davina and Tom had a very damp start to their big day persistent drizzle started about 10am and didn’t stop until after 4pm. Groom Tom, I’m not sure if it was to calm any nerves or just part of his routine had gone for a run in the morning, although only a short one he assured me! Davina’s family and friends came from all over the world to share the day and seem reluctant to leave her for the church telling them to “get a move on” in three languages did help but only slightly! Davina performed a couple of traditional ceremonies before laving her overnight accommodation and taking the gentle journey to the beautiful St Nicholas’s Church in Mkt Harborough, Leicestershire in Winnie our 1940s Wolseley. After the ceremony only a few photographs at the church due to the persistent drizzle and then on to the ever stunning Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire for the reception, and all the time the rain kept falling and neither Davina or Tom stopped smiling. A happier couple I have yet to meet. Wishing you both every happiness for the future from all at BRF Classic Cars. Higham Ferrers and Sharnbrook Hotel Bedfordshire

By | Bedfordshire Wedding Cars | No Comments

Steph and David first met us at a wedding fair nearly 18 months before their big day. The early May wedding plans were coming along well and a very organised pair they are making regular payments to ensure the wedding cars they wanted were all paid up long before the day. Steph and David live in Desborough but Stephanie coming from Higham Ferrers in Northamptonshire and this was where both Steph was to leave from, her mum’s home and also to marry in the parish church, St Mary’s. The day started warm but a little overcast with only a slight chance of rain. Driver Paula and I made our way with Winnie and Daphne to Higham Ferrers wedding cars. A short wait and a radiant Steph appeared, quite a shock from the usual legging and jumpers I was used to seeing her in. Higham Ferrers Church is rather a grand gothic affair and the wedding cars didn’t look out of place in the majesty of the buildings. Once Steph was safely in the church Paula dashed off for coffee, the fuel of chauffeurs! After the ceremony the usual round of photos ensured with the now customary throwing of confetti off the church premises, unfortunately Mother Nature had other ideas and a large gust of wind blew 90% of the confetti straight back into the church grounds, hey ho. I took a few shots of my own and we were soon off to the reception. The Sharnbrook Hotel Bedfordshire is only a few miles from Higham Ferrers and we arrived well ahead of the photographer leaving David and Steph to sip more champagne whilst they waited. Photos done and the hotel appear with yet more champagne, only to have the glasses dropped, fortunately not near Stephanie’s beautiful dress. We bid our farewells at this point and left the happy couple to the evening’s fun, food and frivolity.
